Pixie Bob Facts

Pixie Bobs are wonderful, playful and loving family cats. Be prepared to fall in love.

The Pixie Bob breed originated in Northwest Washington State. They are a loyal, muscular and brawny cat breed that resembles the wild Coastal Red Bobcat found in the coastal mountains. It is one of the few breeds that accepts polydactyls (extra toes) and comes in either a short or medium hair coat lengths. All our Pixie Bobs are registered with The International Cat Association (TICA).

In our photos, you can see that Ethel is a short hair, and Lucy, has medium hair. They are full sisters from the same litter! Petunia and Tigerlily are half sisters, and are both medium hair and polydactyl.

As far as shedding is concerned, I noticed more fur from my short haired cats than the medium hair, perhaps because it is more coarse than the fluff of the medium coat.
